It works a treat for converting WMVs to AVIs for my Archos player. I had been mucking about with mencoder and got the audio so it was only fractionally out of sync with the video but then found your post and gave VLC a try.It worked pretty much straight away and plays the original WMVs under Kubuntu way better than Kaffeine too.Thanks for this.
