Sorry guys just had to update my urpmi databases, but I still get this error: The xine-engine claims it cannot play mp3′s. Any idea on how to correct it?
had the same thing happen once or twice chris… log out and back in and it seems to come back.
hey kev… do you have the moodbar package too?
thanks for amarok 145 downloads !!!
How about a x86_64 package with mysql support.
Pleaaaassseeee.

You can get Amarok 1.4.5 from official Mandriva backports. It was added March 22th and there is both i586 and x86_64 available.
My backports are now useless, until you need support for MySQL or Postgresql. Anyway, I plan to move my machine to a x86_64 Mandriva. I’ll consider to do x86_64 packages at this moment.
Подскажите чем он лучше чем предыдущие версии??? Для обычного пользователя???
Hi from Russia.
Like the ipod option
Exporting and importing amarok MySL database
Is it possible to export amarok’s MySQL database (which has a great deal of customisation associated with amarok 1.4.5 i.e. ArtWork covers etc etc) from (say) Mandriva Free 2007 to (say) openSUSE 10.2?
If it is possible – how is the export/import achieved between distros?
Appreciate your very worthy comments

Kimbo
Is there a way that I can get mysql working again for x86_64? None of the rpms seem to include mysql.

I advise you to upgrade to Mandriva 2008.0 where you can get the moodbar working out of the box with amarok by installing the gstreamer0.10-moodbar RPM package.
Thanks a lot!
Sweet! Thanks again!
it doesn’t support apple-ipod. and i haven’t found such option on devices configuration…
Ooops… You’re right Gustavo. I’ve forgot to update my
libgpod. I’ve just recompiled amarok to add ipod support. Please update from my repository.Kev
You are a genius. Amarok is just an amazing piece of brilliant software.
Many thanks for all the effort just so that I can enjoy my music.
Warmest regards
Thanks! Great job and keep up the good work! I’m new to amarok, but loving it more every day.
I’m not. But Amarok’s developers and Mandriva Cooker’s maintainers are.
Kev
I think you are being modest…. but I also congratulate the developers and maintainers as well.
I realise that it is a team effort.
I am still grateful for the opportunity to use and enjoy amarok.
Nice job with the player. Thank you!
The xine-engine for my Amarok 1.4.3 recently died so I decided to update, but I keep getting a missing file, the libpq… Anyway to remedy this?
thank you very much
To be more specific, it only fails with this:
ftp://ftp.tugraz.at/mirror/mandrake/official/2007.0/i586/media/main/updates/libpq4-8.1.5-1.1mdv2007.0.i586.rpm
