Amarok 1.4.8 for Mandriva 2008.0 and repository update

amarok-148.png I’ve just rebuild Amarok 1.4.8 for Mandriva 2008.0 with MySQL and PostgreSQL support.

This was also an opportunity for me to rebuild old packages (Interreta Televidilo, Rugg and python-icalendar) for Mandriva 2008.0. For now there is no x86_64 version of the packages (including Amarok). I plan to do it later.

Update: Amarok was recompiled to include latest libgpod version (0.6.0).

  1. Oh, good news and bad news. The good news is to see you are alive, hehe. The bad one is that new amarok isn’t compiled with the latest libgpod :(

    :D Yes, I’m quite busy these days…

The bad one is that new amarok isn’t compiled with the latest libgpod :(

I’ve just updated my repository to include libgpod v0.6.0 and I’ve just recompiled Amarok. :)

  3. I’ve tried to install amarok-1.4.8-3mdv2008.0.i586.rpm and it says

the package cannot be installed due to unsatisfied libamarok0[= 1:1.4.8]

If I try to install libamarok0-1.4.8-3mdv2008.0.i586.rpm is says

the package cannot be installed due to unsatisfied amarok[== 1:1.4.8-3mdv2008.0]

So neither package will install because they both need the other one to be there first!

    Any suggestions?

  4. OK I have managed to get everything installed (by using --allow-force on urpmi and writing the firewire address to the ipod’s system file.
