9 months after the last one, here is the new version (v0.9) of my e107 to WordPress import plug-in !
Change log:
- “One-click migration” instead of multiple step process (more user-friendly),
- Better error management (a must-have for precise bug reports),
- Replace all links to old content with permalinks (increased SEO),
- Better database management,
- Work with latest WordPress v2.3.2 and e107 v0.7.11,
- Code cleaned up !

To everyone: I’m rebooting the e107 Importer project. I have fresh code available in a GitHub dedicated repository. Testing and code contribution welcomed.
Expect a 1.0 release after WordPress 3.1.0 release.

The development version (1.0.dev) of e107 Importer is available on WordPress plugin repository.
Hi Kev,
You have any idea for import the E107 forum content in wordpress ? (On BuddyPress Forum for exemple).
Bye
@PooLP: forum import is on my ToDo list. I had the intention of targetting bbPress, not BuddyPress. In fact, I didn’t suspected BuddyPress to have forums. I will play with both until I understand their internals, and why bbPress and BuddyPress are separated projects. Anyway, forum support will be released when ready !
Can’t wait for WordPress 3.1. So I just released e107 Importer 1.0 !
@PooLP: regarding the forum import, I’ve settled with the WordPress plugin version of bbPress. It’s still in alpha and not released yet, but it has tons of features I need. By the time I finished the implementation, I hope bbPress plugin to be released in a stable version.
If you need a beta tester, I can help.
I test your version 1.0, it works fine on my migration project (on test platform) ^^
@PooLP: you can follow my progress on GitHub, and download the latest development version there too.
Cleaning up my home folder, I stumble upon this old screenshot of dash‘s old e107 site. This is what its maintenance page looked like the day she initiated the transition to WordPress using my script:
